Kid’s Media Room – Lawrenceville, Ga.
Project Type: Home Theaters Under $10,000

This client came to us through referral. A long-time client of ours who lived across the street recommended ETI. After meeting with the client in our showroom and at his house, ETI specified Control4 automation for this client. We added a Control4 Home Controller HC-300 to the Family Room to automate client’s existing A/V system in that room.
The Kid’s Media Room upstairs is now being automated by a Control4 Home Controller HC-500. The lighting in that room is automated by (2) Control4 wireless dimmers. ETI added a Netgear Wireless-G MIMO Range-Max router and a Linksys Etherfast 10/100 5-port workgroup switch to this client’s network to allow Control4 to communicate to Family Room system. A Sony 400-disc DVD carousel specified by ETI can display movies in the Kid’s Media Room and the Family Room system.
In the Kid’s Media Room we specified a 5.1 surround sound system that includes (5) Episode dual 4″ in-wall 2-way speakers, and Episode 10” powered subwoofer, Pioneer Kuro 60″ 1080P HDTV plasma with a Strong 60″ fixed lockable mount, and a Yamaha V563 7.1 Channel Digital Home Theater Receiver. The Yamaha receiver, client’s XBOX, client’s PS3, client’s Dish Network satellite receiver, Sony 400-disc DVD carousel, and Control4 Home Controller HC-500 are housed in a Sanus WFA54MO single wide 5-shelf A/V mocha cabinet. We used Wirepath HDMI cables and component cables to hook-up all A/V gear. We also used Genesis 14-2 speaker wire to hook-up all speakers except the subwoofer. We used interflex wire with RCA connectors to supply signals to the subwoofer.
A Panamax MIW-Power Pro in-wall dual receptacle was used behind the Pioneer plasma to protect the plasma from electrical surges. We used the client’s existing surge strip to protect the A/V equipment in the Sanus A/V cabinet. ETI also added a Monster Cable X-BOX 360 connector and a Nyko PS3 IR remote control receiver for proper communications to client’s game systems.
